Adsorption Chiller

If you need cooling and have excess hot water, then our adsorption chillers may be exactly what you need.
Yes, this is sustainable, efficient and will reduce your site operating costs.

Product INFORMATiON.

Our chillers produce cold water at 3 – 5 C from hot water.  So if you need cooling and have excess hot water, then our adsorption chillers may be exactly what you need.  Yes, this is sustainable, efficient and will reduce your site operating costs.

Inoplex Adsorption chillers are really simple, they create cooling by water evaporating under a vacuum to create water at 3 – 5 C.   No toxic ozone depleting refrigerants or compressors, just clean water evaporating inside a cylinder.

We offer a range of sizes. They are:

KW Electrical (KW)Fuel Type
10KW Cooling
20KW Cooling
50KW Cooling
100KW Cooling
250KW Cooling
500KW Cooling
Other sizes available upon request.  Please contact us and we can provide
a product selection to suite your specific project requirements.

Inoplex makes chilling from hot water from a genset or cogeneration practical and realistic. Click here to learn about trigeneration. We will typically install a tank to hold hot water, such as a hot water service, that the chiller can draw upon as a constant supply of heating. Then we add a second tank for storage of the chilled water, again so that the chiller can simply convert the heat into cooling without interruption. You are free to draw upon the chilled water as required, at your convenience.   You can use the chilled water directly or use it to cool a refrigerated chilling system to reduce its power consumption.

Phone or email our thermal engineers so that we can discuss your requirements and size an adsorption chiller to meet your needs.

Our chillers are different to absorption chillers.  We have chosen to focus on adsorption chillers as part of our trigeneration system or combined cooling heating and power, CCHP because they offer you our client, the lowest total cost of ownership and most sustainable outcome. Absorption chillers similarly include water being evaporated under vacuum, but they use hazardous salts that must be carefully maintained, so your site’s maintenance costs increase with this style of absorption chiller. Use an Inoplex Adsorption chiller for your cooling instead.  Click here to learn about the differences between adsorption and absorption chillers
