A good wastewater treatment plan is essential in protecting one of our most valuable resources here in Australia, and our treatment plants will ensure your wastewater and effluent are cleaned so it can be safely returned to the environment. Our stages of wastewater treatment include Primary (Removing of Solids) Secondary (Micro-organisms) Tertiary (UV and Chlorine) and Advanced (Membranes, Filtration, Reverse Osmosis).
At Inoplex, we are about sustainable wastewater and effluent treatment that is boring reliable and simple – while proving the lowest possible total cost of ownership.
For meat and livestock, including piggeries, feed lots and dairy producers & processors we’ve taken a different approach. You won’t find any energy consuming aeration blowers in our plants, instead we harness the power of nature in microbes.
Step 1. We reduce the carbon loading or Volatile Solids, COD or BOD using anaerobic digestion. This converts wastes to methane that are converted to heat, cooling and power while being eligible for carbon credits, renewable energy certificates and VEETS.
Step 2. Then we reduce the nutrients in the effluent water, such as Nitrogen and Phosphorus by using them to grow biomass, typically duckweed or lemna or algae. This approach also polishes out the last of the BOD and provides a water suited for irrigation with nutrients sustainably removed. The biomass can also remove levels of heavy metals and salts
Step 3. The biomass can be used as animal feed, energy crop for the anaerobic digester to boost the biogas potential for the site, be applied to the site soils as fertiliser substitute, or sold to third party to remove the nutrients for the site. Others turn it into bioethanol. Its a valuable biomass produced from effluent.
Different companies will treat and manage your wastewater and effluent to different levels. We treat the wastewater and effluent so it’s fit for purpose. We’re here to support your business and deliver you a plan and or system to effectively manage your wastewater and effluent because we understand every business is different.
